I actually prefer the GunAngel presentation of My Generation! It is less thuggish than The Who. It is amazing how timeless the lyrics are! The song fits 12-year-olds better than The Who, who were 20 to 21 when they recorded it. Young fans of GunAngel, can share the sentiments of the words. The older audience can enjoy a now-amusing memory of their own struggle to get the message across to their Mum and Dad.
How does a guy of 12 write Somewhere and Suicidal Idol? I could not even write an entry in my diary at that age! I am pleased that we have gifted dudes in this world who cast self-doubt and shyness aside to turn out simple but impact-full words, straight from personal emotions and experience of life. What would we do without such songs? Thanks be to the songwriters!
